 | Centred around Wai Li's wedding in Cambridge, I decided to go for a
short whirlwind trip to UK from 3 - 13 Apr 2001. |
 | Since Siti Salbiah and Amir, who were doing their PhD in Strathclyde
University, Glasgow, I made their home my first port of call. Ammutha
and hubby Santra followed for this holiday but were on a separate
flight. They headed to Cambridge first and made their way to Scotland in
their last leg. |
 | We drove down from Glasgow on the 5th and passed by the beautiful but drizzly
Lake District. Later, we stopped at Bradford and
Nottingham to meet a
few of my British friends. |
 | By evening, we got to Cambridge and stayed on for three nights to tour
the town and attend the wedding. |
 | On the 8th, I took this rare opportunity to visit Sharmala and Vick in
Sweden to see their firstborn baby. |
 | Got back to London on the 10th, and met more friends over there. |
 | Made a day trip to Cheltenham the next day to meet my Malvernian mates
and the Babars. |
 | The last two days were spent walking the streets in London with old
University pals. |
