Ohio University Alumni Treasure Hunt

 | On 12 Nov 2000, four adventurous people took part in a charity
treasure hunt. They were Ammutha, Pavitha, Dhanwant, and I. |

 | The hunt began in TNB HQ at Kelab
Kilat and I had to be there by 7am. It took us to Bangsar, Subang Jaya,
Cyberjaya, Putrajaya and finishing at Residence Hotel, Uniten. |

 | Ammutha and I were totally new at this, being our first time in a
treasure hunt. However, we had the experienced Pavitha and also Dhanwant
to guide us. |
 | The Clerk-of-Course was Gary Guna Sager, a famous local treasure hunt
organiser. He is known for his tricky and twisted quizzes and riddles,
which indeed, we later discovered, was very true. |

 | We got most of the answers to the questions, and a few of the
treasures, but unfortunately, not good enough to even get the consolation
prizes, let alone the main prizes. There were just too many professional
groups participating... Nevertheless we got 70 points, which was 3
points less than the bottom consolation winner. Not bad for our first
time. (There was a total of eighty cars.) |
 | After completing the course, we headed for the floating restaurant,
Aquarius, where everybody enjoyed some high tea. At 4.15pm, Gary had
tallied the scores, and told us the correct answers to all the questions
and riddles, plus announced all the winners. Winner No.1 actually
achieved a perfect score of 100%, and beat No.2 who also scored 100%, by
completing the course in less mileage! |

 | Well, the four of us agreed that we had a very enjoyable experience
and it was great fun. Maybe, the next time, we'll win something! |
