why would i want to defrag my own computer?
Besides, if you think about it logically, win98 only defrags when the pc is idle, therefore if the pc is in use, defrag cannot occur. Ergo If I were to defrag the computer, I would be using it and not leaving it on idle, and since defrag cannot happen when the computer is not on idle, there will never ever be a situation where I am able to defrag my own computer. which means you're right, if left to the user to do it, it'll possibly never get done.

Did you defrag all that?

that's auto-defrag is intentional. win98 does this when the pc is left idle. if left to the user to do it, it'll possibly never get done.

My computer has this queird habit of defragmenting itself every 5 to 10 minutes if left alone without any key-in or mouse usage. Is this normal or virus induced? Your reply would be much appreciated.
